Ramzana’s Journey

Ramzana’s first encounter with the Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) began in a moment of profound grief. She arrived at the facility during a miscarriage, a time when she was physically and emotionally vulnerable. In those dark hours, it wasn’t just the medical care that sustained her, it was the compassion of the staff who stood by her.

When Ramzana became pregnant again, she faced a new set of daunting challenges. She was diagnosed with severe anaemia, a dangerous blood shortage that threatened both her life and the life of her unborn child. Understanding that medicine alone cannot cure hunger, IHHN enrolled Ramzana in its nutritional support program – NourishMom.

  • Monthly Rations: To combat her severe anaemia, she was provided with monthly food supplies.
  • Continuous Monitoring: She received regular monthly check-ups to track her health and the baby’s development.
  • Financial Relief: Every test, consultation, and ration pack was provided completely free of charge.

Thanks to this holistic support, the blood shortage was resolved, and Ramzana’s health stabilised. The journey that began with loss ended in a celebration: the birth of a healthy baby girl through a safe, normal delivery.

“Today, I have my daughter in my arms, and we are both healthy. I am so grateful to you for donating to Indus. I pray that Allah grants them even more so they can continue to save lives like mine.”

Ramzana continues to visit the clinic for her post-natal check-ups, a living testament to the fact that when you support a mother, you protect the future of a whole family.
